5 Random Kitchen Gadgets Put to the Test!

Today I'm testing out five more random kitchen gadgets to see how they work! Two were sent by the companies who make them, two were sent for consideration for my online store, and one I bought on Amazon.

To clarify one test: I tried the Twist Whisk as a spatula because I figured someone would ask due to its visual similarity to the Chef Wizard - which *was* advertised to work as a spatula. It is not advertised to be used for that purpose.

I think an overlooked feature of the twist whisk is how easy it would be to clean when flattened.

Actually I like the F° and C° button safely hidden because, as a certified klutz, it will prevent me fron accidently switching between the two and have a momentarily bewildered look at the wrong temperature.

About the plastic wrap roller: it comes with a roll so you’ll exceed the return policy from Amazon. By the time you figure out your favorite cling wrap doesn’t fit it’s too late to return.

The ChefsTemp X10 is the best thermometer I’ve ever used. I have two of them and being a retired professional chef with a career spanning 3 decades this is the best thermometer I’ve used

I trust your reviews more than anyone’s! You have an almost childlike sense of wonder and curiosity when testing things, and you don’t go in with any bias, and end up getting to the true value of the products. Thanks for the entertainment and info!

i love how honest and real your reviews are. Some channels make a big deal of how things work but you dont act like a fool using items. Keep being real, thank you

I've always wondered why paper towel holders, upright kind, never had this type of cover!!

The ChefsTemp thermometer would be 'okay' in a professional kitchen. As a chef, it's probably too big to put in our chef jacket pockets. However, many thermometers I use have the Celsius & Fahrenheit button on the outside and it's an annoyance to some of my cooks for how often that button gets switched in their pockets. I like the internal switch of the ChefsTemp and might order one of my own. Nice review! Maybe test the out of the box accuracy of thermometers in the future.

Couldn't stop laughing at the plastic wrap dispenser, what a piece of garbage ... Thank you for the reviews James !

The twist whisk also looks like it would be easier to clean than traditional whisks.

Im totally buying that temp probe and the whisk. My old probe is slow as hell too. Have to wait 30 seconds to get a reading and you’re losing heat like crazy waiting. And normal whisks are a pain in the ass to clean thoroughly. This one twists flat so you can easily get to all the surface area with a sponge. Thanks for the video! 👍

My massive plastic wrap from costco has the cutting blade glued in onto the top. It's handy. It comes off way too easy but super gluing it down seems to work perfectly. I'll stick with that.

I think the ChefsTemp Finaltouch X10 is the best thermometer that I have ever seen. It has all the functions that I really need but no other products can combine them in one. Love it and thanks for sharing!!

Years (decades) ago I had a twist whisk. The twisting mechanism wore out. Handy though.

For the plastic wrap thingy, what they need is a small, thin, light container, maybe made of cardboard or some other very light, cheap material, that you hold in one hand while you pull the wrap out with the other using a thin serrated edge attached along the length of the container to cut the plastic wrap.

Oh I love that Chefs temp! Especially that it works for left handers.

You should try the "Meter" its a phone connected thermometer that gives you accurate temperature for the entire cook time instead of just whenever you remember to check.
