This is a motion design piece I created for university minor project in Graphic Design: Visual Communication.

The video shown is an exaggerated representation of what it is like to be dyslexic, created by me, a dyslexic student; intended to communicate to those that do not have Dyslexia, taking them through a narrative like video describing and demonstrating what dyslexia is.

For me it just looks like the words keep moving ever so slightly and like my eyes just can't stay on the word it's trying to read because it's as if it is reading all the words at once. That, and they just blur together with it all, which is crazy because I have 20/20 vision. Does anyone read words that are not written on the page? Like for example, you'll read something that will look like it reads "You will not cook at the lodge this winter" only to find out it actually reads "You all will cook at the lodge this winter."

If you just take the animations out and the letters instantly change then it would be accurate.

I've literally had people think I can't read when I say I'm dyslexic. I can read it's just different than other people. Sometimes words take a minute especially long ones. This is perfect and really shows more of how I see words

I have a mild from of dyslexia were I can read everything fine it just saying what I've read or rewiring it that's the problem, than my friend can't read anything with out the latter's moving, and my cousin can read and say words in the right order but can't write them. The way the words are written in the video is how I would natural write them but not how my friend would. There many different forms of dyslexia that effect people in different ways. But this is still one of the most accurate from my view. :)

As a family of Dyslexics, I can't express just how much this illustrates the way my son's mind works. I personally have Dyscalculia and he has Dyslexia. He often says that I am his words (on paper) and he is my numbers. He's very articulate and most would never know until he had to write something. Having Dyspraxia doesn't create the desire to write either, but he is confident and does so without thinking. The best part about my days are those where I find a note from him to me. Thank you so much!

It annoys me so much when "simulations" just have letters moving with in a word, for me the writing wobbles and isn't straight and has shadows, and they all seem to ignore this
