I’m still disappointed they didn’t call the movie “Threed”.

On the new setup: green screen keeps buffering in the top right corner (compression artefacts?) plus the green hue on your face makes it a bit more obvious. Might be better off turning your word doc/script to dark mode so it reflects less in your sunglasses too!

I like that as time has gone on your critiques have sharpened. You've become surgical. No fluff here. Excellent work.

Love the new look. Other than the reflection in your shades. Slightly distracting, just slightly though. Keep it up Bob!

I was pretty let down by Creed II, so I'm really glad to say that Creed III might be my favorite of the series. A stellar directorial debut for Michael B. Jordan.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how close this series came to not happening if Fant4stic had come out like, 1 year earlier?

set-up feedback: this camera viewpoint really misses your arm and body movements which were a good part of your presentation style

I really appreciated that this movie gave Donnie a conflict that didn’t revolve around Rocky and Apollo’s baggage and his legacy but rather his own past.

Killmonger vs Kang was a pretty solid match I must say.

I was pleasantly surprised by the nuance and skill on display from MJB as director here. Fair point about montage, but it’s Rocky, that’s always been an aspect. It also bears repeating that Jonathan Majors is probably the most watchable actor in Hollywood outside of (in my opinion) Tom Hardy, and has had fewer (maybe 0) missteps in terms of selecting projects. I’ll continue to see everything he’s in until that changes.

As described, this movie sounds like it's absolutely no frills and as pared down as this kind of movie can be. Given this is Jordan's directorial debut, it's as smart a move as leaning on the supporting cast. Less moving parts to the story means less can go wrong with the movie.

So, can we just head-canon that this is a Kang variant beating the crap out of a Killmomger variant?

I’ve been happy to see how Jordan has managed to bounce back from that horrible Fant4stic movie.

As a note on the setup: It's easy to see the camera in the reflection from your glasses. Not sure how to fix that, but it is a bit distracting.

Sounds like an excellent movie about "The Sweet Science." And I love Jonathan Majors, as Kang and as pretty much anybody.

Before this review even starts I am pulling for this movie
MBJ is a rising talent, a full on born movie star and the first 2 Creeds were a shot form the blue
I hope he can keep this up himself

Not gonna lie super excited for this one. Majors is fn fantastic in everything I've seen him in.

Out of the 3, I'd still go with Creed II (the Creed trilogy is ultra solid though).
But this one is very good, and I think it has the best fights, MB Jordan really goes for that anime style, but with subtelty.

The only thing lacking was the music. I heard nothing that made me want to go train, and take punches. I don't know, maybe I should see it again.

New set up is great. You've had a green cast on your skin for years, I assume because of reflections from the chroma key background & now it's fixed.
