Rocky’s arc ended perfectly. After everything he’s been through in losing almost everyone he loves, he finally gets to settle down and spend time with his grandson who resembles Adrain and he passes the torch down to Adonis. He literally said to him at the end of Creed 2 “it’s your time now”. Bringing Rocky back wouldn’t make sense

Jonathan Majors is really moving up in Hollywood! I look forward to seeing him in more major roles.

There's only a handful of "legacy-sequels" that I can stand, and the new Creed franchise has consistently proved that it deserves to be on that list

At first I was a little disappointed that Rocky wasn't going to be in this film, then I watched Creed 2 again recently and remembered his heartfelt moment at the end of the fight when Creed was starting to dominate. Rocky said "It's your time kid". Great exit for the Legend, in my opinion. Doesn't matter whether it was the intention or not. It just works.
Really looking forward to seeing Creed 3

So nice to see Jonathan Majors playing the villain in a good third movie in a series for the first time this year with this film.

I wanted more boxing, more training, more Majors, more build up. Our one moment of Majors in the ring, where we see him analyzing his opponent, detecting weakness, like a velociraptor, I loved that. I wanted to see Majors work his way up to the title fight, I wanted to see inside his journal, inside his mind and motivations. And Creed, I felt like there wasn't enough about Adonis's own conflict, his guilt and any sense of softness, doubt about retiring.

I saw this movie today and I agree, the fight scenes are phenomenal. Jonathan Major is body goals. The man is also an excellent actor.

Didn't creed 2 basically end Rocky's story though? Like he finally reconnected with his son felt like a good way to end things for his character

Star Wars and MCU can learn a thing or two about handing off the crown from one generation to the next from Creed. It paid respect to generation past and new, and always shown a compelling narrative.

The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Da 5 Bloods, Lovecraft Country, The Harder They Fall... Jonathan Majors constantly proove himself over and over and over again. Really talented guy! I hope he doesnt let Marvel drag him down

Just got done watching the film. Great story and great way to tell it. Awesome fight scenes. It's a well-made, worthy sequel to the franchise. Only complaint I have is really the last 50 minutes being a bit rushed. They could have used another 15 minutes or so for the film to build more tension but other than that, I recommend everyone to watch this.

No one who watched Lovecraft Country has been surprised what Jonathan Majors has been doing since. Dude is simply phenomenal.

It looks as though he not only was inspired by anime, but one of, if not the greatest boxing movie of all time, Scorcese's 1980 masterwork, Raging Bull. Specifically with the slowed shots in-ring, edited to perfection by Thelma Schoomaker.

the fact that MBJ is being up front with the anime inspo has elevated my hopes for this movie. can't wait to see it in my theaters.

Just left the movie and I was impressed by this movie. Lots of heart is in this movie, Micheal B Jordan did a good job with his directing.

I know he’s just going to get better as he keeps going in his career.

And yeah the anime references are real in this movie. Gundam figures and all that! Definitely worth checking it out.

Of course I've already seen every Rocky and Creed movie countless times since the get-go, but the past few days I binge-watched every single one from Rocky to Creed 2 just to hype me up for Creed 3. Can't wait! I'm 55 and God I love this franchise! Hope it never ends.

The creative choices for the fight scenes were AMAZING

Thought it was great, especially the first hour. Majors was unbelievable and MBJ had an incredible directorial debut. However, I thought the last training sequence and fight happened a bit too quickly. I don't think they realized how good of a story they had on their hands and wrongly assumed the audience just wanted to get right into the action. Hopefully they drop an extended cut. I give it around an 8/10.

Can't wait. It's interesting to hear about the anime inspiration. Rocky's arc ended at the end of Creed II, so I don't understand why he has a problem with the franchise moving on without him. Unless, that's not how he wanted it to go either.
