Great episode between these two. I liked how he called his wife at the end of episode as she was in bed not well. Devoted cop, devoted husband

His acting in the scene was amazing. If there is someone who could feign being poisoned better than that, I’ve never seen it.

Even after she tried to kill Columbo and his wife, he still tried to show empathy for her husband and situation. The quote is true about, "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, nor Hell a fury like a woman scorned". She wanted to kill Columbo and would kill and hurt anyone who put her husband in prison. That's why Columbo had to go above and beyond by using the fake funeral and the sergeant's house to get her.

11:54 the script called him to 'slap the woman' and so he did... slap her with truth so hard she won't recover any time soon ;p
The realization on her face is priceless.
He was just as cruel to her as she was to him.
Columbo always treated people the same way they treated him. A few he had great deal of respect for... and others, well, you saw it

Still one of the top episodes. I'd put it in the top 5, maybe top 3.❤ Helen Shaver was perfect in this episode. Why does it seem like the best episodes(IMO) are all one on one episodes between Falk and a Great Actress? Helen here, and in my favorite episode ever was with Faye Dunaway in 'It's all in the Game'. Which not only won Faye a Primetime Emmy but also has the distinction of being the only episode written by Falk.
ps. I had the hugest crush on Claudia Christian when she was in Babylon 5.
