Drawing | Sketching set of keys and add shading | time-lapse video

Hello everyone...drawing this was a bit of a challenge for me as I've started drawing again after 20 odd years. You will have noticed the multiple erasing while the doing the ring. Getting that into perspective was a bit difficult.

Tip for beginners:
1. Always draw the outline of an object with a light pencil, such as 2H or similar.

2. Do the first initial background shade with a HB or 2B then work your way up increasing the darkness grade in accordance with light and dark areas.

3. It's so satisfying to use the smudging tool for adding shadows, and it looks so realistic. If you don't have one, I would suggest getting one.
