I think one reason why Dave is considered the best is because when he got criticism he took it hard! He never got defensive about it though but he took the criticism so hard and really showed that he cared about what chef Ramsay thought and had to say. He was a extremely humble chef despite the immense skill and talent that he had. I think Gordon really appreciated how serious he took the competition and could tell that he meant business and had a lot of passion.

Ideas: Contestants who kept their jackets, contestants who were on other cooking reality shows (either before or after), signatures dishes that got 1s, and signature dishes that got 5s

I wouldn't blame Dave for that. The blue team was terrible in this challenge, so he had to create something with barely any calories.
And in my opinion his dessert looks like it would taste good.

Honestly, I feel like Christina (S4) burning Ramsay's hand twice, easily should've been enough to send her home right then and there. Knowing Ramsay, there's no way he would let someone stay in his kitchen after they burn his hand not once, but TWICE!

Completely agree, we all know Petroza was way better than Christina, and Gordon was going based off age, also I know he wasn’t on this list, but Jay now being one of Gordon’s souse chefs, I feel as though he felt he made a mistake of picking Holly.

8:34 Is it just me or does it seem to me Nona didn't do much wrong? Yeah she fucked up but she admitted her mistake, and... tried to correct it. But Gordon comes and tears apart her kitchen, flipping over beef from a stove she literally just turned on, and repeatedly telling her to get out of his way when... she really wasn't in his way. I'm normally getting where Gordon was coming from but it seems like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day. We all have off days, and at least it didn't cost her the competition, but... she legitimately tried to bounce back.
