I love this! I’m in Southern California and we have never used a coat closet. We use it to store our mops, brooms etc.

I did this! Only my closet was wider so I left half for the coats and vacuum. Then I put up shelves in the other half for the mixers, instapot, , toaster and all other bulky things that were taking up room on my counters!

Living up north our coat closer is stuffed with jackets, snowpants, bulky scarves, sorel boots etc.
