I can't decide which I like better: Joe's singing or Leon Russell's piano. Either way, we all win.

Nobody these days makes great music like this anymore.
And yes, I am guilty of hitting the replay on this song a few times myself.
I use to run sound for a kick ass rock band about 7 years ago and a good friend of our band wanted to take a shot at our open Mic to sing this great song. Rock on, J.P. AS he hit every note perfectly.
Now, whenever I hear this song from that night on, I think of, JP.
I feel privileged to have lived in such ah great musical error of all time.
Music like this just cleans the soul and can make even me smile on the crappier of crappyest of days.
now I'm feeling, ... alright !!!!🎤😎🎶🎵🎶

Just heard the sad news about Cocker's passing.  Without a doubt, he was one of the most unique voices in popular music.  He's already missed !  RIP Joe!

I always loved this song, but always wondered what the lyrics were in some places. Some of it is hard to understand, but love Joe Cocker!

Only the great Joe Cocker can sing a song about pain and make you wanna get up and dance. But is not all bad cause he is trying to find his way out. This is my go to song when I'm not feeling that good myself.

On this day in 1969 {April 27th} Joe Cocker & the Grease Band performed "Feelin' Alright" on the CBS-TV variety program 'The Ed Sullivan Show'...
Two months later on June 15th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #100; four weeks later it would peak at #69 {for 2 weeks} and it spent 6 weeks on the Top 100...
Three years later in January 1972 it re-entered the Top 100 for 9 more weeks, and on February 6th it peaked at #33 {for 2 weeks}...
Between 1968 and 1990 he had twenty-one Top 100 records; four* made the Top 10 with one reaching #1, "Up Where We Belong", a duet with Jennifer Warnes, for 3 weeks on 'Trick or Treats', October 31st, 1982...
* He just missed having five Top 10 records when "Cry Me A River" peaked at #11 {for 2 weeks} in 1970...

The music and the sound isolation of sequential tones and instrument is just unmatched for ''tis type of music....and the unique way
Mr Joe Cocker vocalizes and leads the music is just nothing compares to it ..then or even
Mr Cocker was always one of the main attractions or the main attraction for many including myself....and there was always the curiosity over in what condition Mr Joe was going to show

I think it's cool that so many musicians covered other peoples music alot back in the day.
