The black kitchens are gorgeous. The moody spaces are stunning. I desperately need bright light and bright spaces though, for mental health, and i look at the black kitchens and wonder whether i would ever be *able* to light it well enough for my needs.

The all black kitchen works only if you have a lot of natural light. Because a kitchen with one small window, the all black kitchen will feel like a cave.

For the panel appliance, I am remodeling my kitchen right now (everything is down to the studs right now). I am keeping my dishwasher and getting a new frig. I am going to have them vinyl wrapped (like cars are wrapped), in blue to match the cabinets, with a art nouveau design on it.

I love an all black kitchen however i probably would never do one. We are currently redoing our kitchen and I’m keeping it very neutral as the expense is so ridiculous I’m trying very hard not to get caught up in a trend and keep it functional yet tasteful🤞🏻

My absolute pet peeve is that the previous owners of our house bought a fridge that sticks out past the counter. And the door of said fridge hits our island. I’m all for counter depth refrigerators.

I’ve just built a new home and I’ve selected green cabinetry. I’ve always loved green cabinetry and I wanted my kitchen to feel connected to the future garden. I have an integrated dishwasher and the design has been setup to allow for future accessibility. I’ve used timber look cabinetry in the laundry, study and bathrooms.

I love black but when remodeling our kitchen we went with medium toned wood cabinets. We left the black for the stainless appliances and all the hardware and accents. Still got the sophistication of black but it’s still bright and airy. Also have a small plug in lamp and two rechargeable ones to easily move around. It gives off as much ambiance as we want.

Colored appliances are IT. I wish we could have done those in our kitchen. We did get our dark cabinets and we're in love with the marble look floors that work beautifully with this gorgeous granite (ALL bought on sale!) But we just could not track down the white+gold stove, microwave, and range of my dreams for less than a bajillion dollars. Plus my husband is one of those people who LOVE stainless

I had a black kitchen…it is a ridiculously difficult thing to keep clean because you can’t see the dirt.

I do like black in decor, but I don't care for the all black everything look because it's hard to even see what's going on. Also, in my experience, a black horizonal surface will show every molecule of dust and is impossible to keep looking clean. For those situations, if something black was desired, I think it would work better to have something mostly black but with some other colours as well, like a black marble.

I do like an all-black kitchen, which might be the situation for a possible townhouse purchase for my daughter. Hopefully she'll like the property after viewing on Wednesday. I'll keep you posted on anything we find for her. Happy New Year, Garrett!
