Today we have some news concerning a production change with the factory stabilizer on your Jeep JL or JT.

If you have a newer 2021 Jeep, you may find that the bolt on your factory steering stabilizer has changed. The new bolt has a longer squared neck, making it incompatible with aftermarket stabilizers.

Watch the video and find out how to identify which model stabilizer you have and what it will take to fix it.

I just ran into this exact issue today. 2021 JLR, we were putting a Fox steering stabilizer on, and the factory bolt has the giant Lego neck on it like the one in this video. Very thoughtful of you all to put this video out explaining the issue - thank you so much!

Found this video AFTER I ordered and received a Rough Country steering stabilizer for my 2022 JL. RC and distributers need to include an upgraded bushing or at least inform us about the different mounting bolt.

This is important so share the info. I found out the hard way after fiddling around for 20 minutes under my wrangler trying to get the newer squared bolt into a Fox 2.0 ATS Steering Stabilizer. In all fairness, Fox does provide a solution for this in the installation manual which, of course, would didn’t read until after the fact.

Just tt an experienced Mopar tech that just found this out a few days ago. FCA is sending updated stabilizers for the "not" a TSB and not sending new bolts with them.

So jeep decided to put a square peg in a round hole. Why?!

Just came across this video as I purchased the Fox ATS steering stabilizer from Northridge… to find out I probably need the $3 “old style” bolt 😳.

So much talk about there being nothing wrong with the steering, yet a different steering box and now steering stabilizer. I wonder if I should replace my old one with the new

Good info, but the background music is to much and needs to be off or lowered. It’s like you are competing on who is louder

Will it help anything to change the steering stabilizer on a stock jl that the only change was that I put 33’s on. Don’t go off reading?

Why is Jeep doing this. Is this a steering performance tweak ? Thx for this fact.

You can order the part directly from us. Shows picture and part is out of stock for at least 30 days. 😂

put both bolts in the bag of prts to b sure, but tie rods from factory r weak link from factory 20k not up to the job for sure. Mayb ford's jeep can get ride of tie rods from factory if jeep can't fix or after market fix/address the problems. Ideally ppl's car/jeep would not need wrenching on for 1st 40k miles bc over engineered & properly outfitted/equipped from factory for trail rated driving, & normal & esp overland driving.
