I checked all the models that were available in my local model shop and none had the tool to remove the PCB board.
Also all but two, one of which I purchased, had smoke box doors that wouldn’t click and stay fully shut.
Apart from those quibbles a fantastic model, well pleased.

1:10 as a numerologist those numbers from Dapol and Hattons are pleasing to the ear

That's an amazing price for an O gauge loco with that level of detail, and that fantastic low speed motion.

the detail in the cab looks so real with some imagination you could almost see a O scale driver and fireman driving this engine from the cab

You don’t need a lot of space to run an ‘O’ gauge layout especially with a small shunting locomotive like the B4, you also don’t need to purchase expensive points, you can use an off scene selector plate for changing tracks. Regards from Ron 👍🚂😃

Whilst I think AS are loudly celebrated for make great products, there is a pattern of minor issues such as with the latest van, however Dapol continues to offer new items without the fanfair but with great prices and few issues. NICE ONE DAPOL!

What makes it for me is the thinking behind the display packaging - what a great idea! It would make a great display as well as a fine addition to any layout, especially one in more restrained surroundings, like a dockyard section, brewery or factory. A really fine model, and good value!

Sorry, did you say the die cast running plate is made of metal?! What a feature!

In all seriousness though, it’s good to see. And I love a silly gaffe

This new O gauge B4 tank engine from Dapol is a fantastic model. Even though, it has a few quality problems but it is still a very nice model and it is the first model to have its smokebox door open to the left-hand side of the smokebox just like a real life steam locomotive Sam.

Ngl, Dapol certainly has been making their mark on the model making industry. The price sounds relatively reasonable, and the weight is very good. This looks like a good quality model, and I’m certain that I will thoroughly enjoy running it.

It’s easy to fix a drooping coupling. Take it off and run it under boiling water. Bend to shape whilst it is hot and allow to cool. Refix it when it is cold again. Simple. It’s a common problem.

I think this is one of my favorite 0-4-0 locos. I like the proportions and the general looks. I had no idea the coal bunker is inside the cab and that Dapol fully detailed it. This model in O gauge is much better than the 00 gauge version. I really want a 00 gauge one now (as I don't have 0 gauge). This 0 gauge model, however, is really impressive for the price. I think the lack of tool for the DCC tray is missing because of mistake, I give them the benefit of the doubt here, but of course it's a slight annoyance. Aside from that, this is the most beautiful 0 gauge loco I've seen. Can get behind why you enjoy it so much. Great review, Sam 👍👍

Great review as always, Sam, and what a wonderful loco. O is definitely the queen of gauges! If only I could afford to splash out - maybe I will though!

Fantastic video Sam, and a fantastic model as well! Only got two more GCSE papers to do, on Friday, then done. And one of them is Physics paper 2, where a large chunk of content is on electronicsy stuff - and you've unwittingly taught it to me through videos! (Including motors etc), so thanks for that! :)

What a wonderful model. Still mightily impressed with Dapol's 4mm Manor, but this makes we want to jump to O gauge! Planning a layout now!

26:20 At first glance, I thought your O Scale loco was on the rails... then realized this is your HO Scale loco in the wagon! John

O scale is worth the money, much more capable of providing detail if a bit fragile, and performance wouldn't be a concern. A very neat engine, Sam
