Nice Self Help video and one of the better ones I've seen.

Nice work,
And you explained everything very well.
I think people can take what you have shown, and apply it to any type of gasoline engine.
I think ethanol is less stable and more prone to vapor lock.
Using non-ethanol gasoline seems to help prevent vapor lock on my car.

Solid recommendations. Having this problem in my Midget with Weber carb. That and carbs losing their prime.

great video on a huge problem for my old cars. Ethanol fuel makes vapor lock much more common because it significantly lowers the fuel boiling point. I am interested in more information on the orifice hole drilled into the piece of aluminum to build back pressure (3:03 in the video). what does it look like and how was it installed? Thanks.

getting the manifold coated helps, but electric fuel pump with a regulator that has a return is bulletproof.

I’ve had hundreds of cars and the only car that I ever experienced vapor lock in was my 1978 I attempted to drive up Mt Washington in New Hampshire and was forced to turn back about 1/3 of the way up, the car would not run! Aaaah the good ole days😂

I know this is an old video but I think you spoke my language. My car is a Buick LeSabre, and after about 7 miles or just a short drive in town, depends on if it's warm out or not, my car does what you described. I wrote it down and hope I can bring this to some one who can fix it.

Good to know what symptoms causes my engine to die after a while. Also your solutions will help my engine problems. Thanks for sharing

i myself own a 81 280zx, and despite it being fuel injected, it also suffers from vapor lock. luckily, its only an issue when the engine heat soaks off instead of running, but it still bothers me.

thanks for the tips

Great video, awesome solutions. The electric fan and electric fuel pump are the best improvements. The heat shields are always a good idea

What do u think of connecting the fuel line through the electric fuel pump and then through the mechanical pump before connecting it to the carburetor? Hope u will provide some explaining. Bye loved the video 👍🏻

I have la 2011 corolla and since the summer I have to pedal to the metal and I already always use high octane gas, had spark plugs changed and worked for 2 days, the air compressor makes it worse but no one in my town knows what is going on?The dealer says it could be a chewed wire🤦🏻‍♀️thnx

Great video, how did you connect the electrical fan? Did you remove the fan clutch?

May need a fuel / air separator type fuel filter ( 3 outlet ) with that orifice ( hole ) in the return line ?
