The Poor Man's Kowa - Budget Konuspot 80 Upgrade

A great incremental upgrade from the factory eye piece for the budget minded competitor who can't justify the cost of high end spotting scope.

The Konuspot - 80 is a great value scope however compared to higher end spotting scopes the eyepiece visibly has some limitation. Konus designed the eye piece in such a way after market option are near nil. I've been waiting for aftermarket eyepiece that would fit in a Konus spotting scope 80 for a few years.

Definitely a step up from the factory eyepiece. Without having to spend a lot on a new Kowa spotting scope.

This kit has improved the field of view at a higher magnification. However it does take a little bit of getting use to the LER.

so can u use variable eye pieces? also I'm confused.. does the adapter let you use new or old eyepieces for kowa?

No need to search for expensive eyepieces, you can use ocular lenses of 16x50 binocular or 20x50 binocular, remove ocular lens complete of any 16x59 binocular and use that as eyepiece on a spotting scope you will get wide angle 40x magnification out of it, i tried this on Nikon Aculon 16x50 binocular and used it's ocular lens as eyepiece on Vanguards Endeavor HD 82 spotting scope
