Oh, my gosh, Herrick! Your imagination and inventing never stops! I wish I had more, myself. What a great idea! In the pnw, in the old days, they used a cedar board with a leather strap to put on caulked boots to wear inside for a bit. I should make a video myself about them someday

Hmm could these be made out of carpet? Reason I ask is that I just tore out a lifetime supply of carpet from a house I am preparing to sell. The underlayment in my situation looked like foam pieces pressed together and that stuff tears easily and wouldn't last. I was thinking bottom of carpet to the outside on both pieces and maybe a leather pad glued to the bottom.
