I don't think he became a doomer. What he is doing is exactly the same thing that post Sci-Fi writers does, when they warm human kind about what can goes wrong if you ignore historical facts. Yuval Harari is actually inviting us to the debate on how to solve this arisen issues with AI and Missinformation.
