Nick, YOU are THE MAN!!! Folks locally were trying to charge me crazy money $125 to do this. They have to be out of their minds. I am not a newbie to this part. This is not rocket science, but they tried to charge me as if it was. :) You are the best, sir!

I believe those pads are not for a spacer. You can split them and peel one side off and place them on the bottom for feet to prevent it scratching the bottom of the SSD holder or whatever you seat it on.
I watched your upload to try and find out how to open the clear plastic case, I was close to breaking it. Just stiff but open now.😊

I had done this, since July 2023. I mean purchase that enclosure to make my two 2.5" HDD usable again. And yeah, if not this September, maybe October. I will buy another enclosure for my 3.5" HDD

Mine didn't work out of the packet (new hard drive). I had to press windows + x then to disk management then had to press the OK button to initialize the (new) disk (GPT) then I had to scroll down to the unallocated space and right click in that. then click on New Simple Volume then Next, Next, Next and it gave it a new letter (E in my case) and quick format. Worked perfectly after that.

My Samsung EVO SATA SSD does not work on my laptop using one of these enclosures. I read it has to be plugged into the motehrboard but on my laptop I only have a spare M.2 slot so I have been really struggling to find something that will let me read/copy my old SSD.

Any tips?

I'm having trouble taking the drive OUT! I want to put a different drive into the enclosure, but I'm having trouble pulling the old one out. You think it'd be obvious, but it's not. I don't want to force it. Or maybe I'm just being too careful! But it seems stuck!

Hi. Do you have a video of the ORICO enclosure connected to an external SSD drive ( removed from the HD shell)? In my case, the SSD has only a USB connection and it cannot connect with the ORICO enclosure. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
