Thin Hair Vs Fine Hair (THEY'RE NOT THE SAME) | Men's Hair Types Explained...

Do you have thin hair or fine hair? Do you know the difference?

Why does it even matter? Well as men grow their hair out one of the most common misconceptions is that their haircare routine stays the exact same as it was when they had short hair.

But when men know their unique hair type (aka their hair texture & density, whether it's fine or thin) then they can pick the right products and potentially prevent damage.

The best way to talk about this is: Density versus Diameter. Density is the number of hairs per square inch. Diameter is a measurement of the cross-section of each strand of hair.

Hey Trav, you should make a video where you explain wether if it's good or bad to use warm water to wash the hair or benefits of using cold water, keep the videos coming man!

I just have to say your videos are so amazing and I really hope your channel grows as much as possible, I feel like your a bit under-rated you are well inform and you state more facts and evidence than the other channels out there. You think you can make a video on thin and thick hair? Because I have medium thick but thin spaced hair and i don't know what products to really use for it. Love your channel!

Thanks for the upload, I'm trying to grow my hair long but, when i put stuff on it to hold it in place eg creams it becomes very flat. i'm after something a bit more puffy to make it look more like a lion's mane so i've learnt here that i need to find out about volumizers?

I grow my hair about 10 months now, but my hair is thin. Is it okay to grow your hair long even if its thin? Thanks

Would you still use protein shampoo if you have short fine hair? Or would you use that if you have longer fine hair

Hi there, I hope you see this!

I was watching one of your videos recently but I can't remember which video it was, hence my question. You mentioned using a product for fine long hair: Aveda Thickening Tonic?

When I searched for it on Amazon I wasn't sure if I found the right one, ad there was an Aveda Thickening Tonic as well as an Aveda Volumizing Tonic. I wanted to make sure I got the right one.

Can you send a link for which product you were talking about?

Thank you!!

Can you make a video on types of hair damage? Some of my hair for example have fine ends that are a little curved is that because it's damaged? If you make a video on that explaining the various types of hair damage it would help a lot of people

I have fine hairs and thin density and a bit of a widows peak. Typical Scandinavian hair is what my hairdresser always say. When all my hair is to one side it looks like it has pretty good density. But parting it down the middle it's obviously not as dense as its only half the hair on either side. I think medium long hair down to the jaw looks really cool. Any way that would look good or do you definitely need thick hair for that?

Does anyone have protein shampoo recommendations for someone with fine hair?

Coarse hair. Is it normal to see some scalp when moving it to the the side? I have really thick hair but I can see my scalp. Like you can’t not see the scalp.
