I'd love to hear Tesla talk about FSD on the Semi...been mysteriously quiet on that front 🤔

Hey Dillion, i have a model 3 performance with 220, 000 miles. The majority of the degradation took place in the first 100, 000k miles. After 150, 000, the degradation seems to have almost completely disappeared. Original pack and all. Original range was rated at 310 has been sitting at 250 for 10’s of thousands of miles now.

Charge at home for free with solar panels. A million mile Tesla with tires, wipers and brakes for maintenance is almost free transportation for life!

I’ve got a M3P 2018 late Sept, and have 16.5% degradation (261 miles est range; fleet avg 281; orig miles I think was 310) with 62, 000 miles. It has flattened the past two years, but dropped from 268 to 261 rated range in the past few months (TeslaFi). Limited Supercharging, but I was for a while charging to 85% and then 90% for a year or so, then backed off to 80% (at home).

Hey Dillon, love your show. I have a 2018 model 3 AWD with 73k miles, and it shows 265 mi range, which is pretty close to what the study said.

We watched a Jeff Dahn battery video referred to us by the Limiting Factor. States that most batteries will far outlast the cars.

100 Superchargers in Australia 🇦🇺.
We have a befitting saying down here: Woopdee-f#@*king-doo!
Over 26, 000 superchargers in the U.S.
Australia has vast open countryside between cities, whereas the U.S. has many more towns in between.
We need way more superchargers per capita in Oz. Our population is ~26mil
U.S. population size ~333mil
26mil/100= 260, 000 pple per charger
333mil/26, 000= 12, 800 pple per charger.
A 20x times difference per capita.
No wonder EV uptake in Australia has been slow.

Dillon your shows are pertinent and enjoyable whatever time of day you upload. I am always a fan. Thank you

I mentioned it on John’s channel at cleanerwatt, but I think it bears mentioning again that Tesla should make his own trailer for his own trucks with a battery range extender for the semi to get it up to 1000 miles that way he can branch out and use common truckstops overnight without chargers

Neuralink is incredible. The musk family of companies are so aww inspiring, I love imagining the different ways in which they will collectively impact the future of humanity.

Seems like they need charging infrastructure before EV semis can be used in a mass market. That could be a really profitable business to own.

If a battery degrades by 1.8% per year for 20 years, the battery has 70.8% of its capacity. You are only ising 1.8% of what is left.

About battery degradation, Tesloop - has some great charts showing what you said that THE MAJORITY of any degration happens first 4 years....then it kind of flattens out : ) NJOY your EV - for a V E R Y long time!
