Thanks for mentioning that strong screws should be used, and not drywall screws. I was picturing using some long, heafty drywall screws I have. But, after viewing your video, I remember that I also have some 3 inch deck screws, which will be perfect!

Well done, Tom. I never could understand why these door manufactures use such small screws. You're right, drywall screws are very brittle. At least use deck screws.

Well it worked of course I got a a wedgie wedge it up and those screws were about 1/4 long I put some long self tapping screws it work perfect San Antonio Texas appreciate the help

What would you recommend for stripped out holes? The last person who lived here went crazy with the drill and most of the doors are a little wobbly

when I go to the store what kind of long screw should I be looking for? But not a deck screw?

I have a big problem with that. I live in the UK and more importantly in a house built of brick. I have replaced my screws already but to do so I had to use a masonry drill and raw plugs into the brick.

Great tip. Unfortunately, I have a house made with brick (1961) and this doesn't help me.

I have a sagging metal door and the hinges are welded to a metal frame... :/ I don't know what to do :(
