How to Rent a pool with Swimply
Показать описание
During the dog days of August a swimming pool in the backyard would be nice, wouldn't it? If you don't have one, you can rent one using an app called Swimply.
Here's the idea: There are millions of backyard swimming pools. Their owners aren't swimming in them 24/7. At the same time, there are millions of people without swimming pools who'd like to swim.
Swimply brings those folks together.
We got on the app, we set it up, and then we got, a few days later we got a notification of a reservation. I was kind of excited about it and it just kind of blew up from there.
Chelsey and Michael Odum started renting out their backyard pool using Swimply this summer.
we've had people coming several times a week and it's just been real busy.
Opening the Swimply app, you'll see the swimming pools for rent near you. Depending on where you live, that could be dozens. Like Airbnb, users contact pool owners through the app and make a reservation. Most pools are around $30 an hour.
All are rented by the hour and the number of guests is limited to around 15. Pay a little more for additional guests.
"there've been families that have come several times. But there've been like 3 birthday parties here.
The Odums tell me, their pool stays rented out anytime they don't want to use it themselves. So the question everyone's gonna have: isn't it weird to have strangers use your pool?
the first one was a little bit weird. It's just different having someone here and they have to come inside to use the bathroom if they need to. after that first one, it isn't weird at all.
If you're dying to go swimming or if you'd like to make some money off your pool, it might be the app you never dreamed you'd need. I'm Jamey Tucker and Swimply is the app of the day.
