No. You missed the real reason for the discontinuation of the iPod. It was about money. Once a track is downloaded from a CD to an iPod, no more money is made off of that track. But if you have to pay each month for access to a streaming service, you have to pay each month. Apple gets more money that way. I still own and use my iPod. I paid for my tracks once. I should not have to pay for them again. Worse, I paid for most of them originally on vinyl. Then again on CD. Not gonna pay for them a third time.
