I installed one recently and the app works great.

How does this compare to Phyn Plus? Is there a particular smart analysis, monitoring and shutoff besides these two?

It's a good idea that it closes slowly. That prevents water hammer against the valve.

this appears to have been discontinued already. great news for those who installed it.

Can it detect a leaky sales pitch and shut it down too?

This really comes across as an infomercial.

Great video! I been researching for something just likes this! I want to add a water softener/filter system along with a rain water collective system along with the device and rachio!

I was confused at seeing an above ground water line with the smart water valve installed. What's keeping that line from freezing and busting??? Was there more to that above water line that wasn't included in the video like how is that line protected from freezing? Is there a cover that goes over that line to protect the power line from getting wet?

Is this something that would work in a home that has well water? would it get connected before or after the water pressure tank in that type of setup?

This device is a novelty, full function requires internet connection and cloud based computing which can be shut down rendering your $500 investment into a cheap $5 manual water valve if the manufacturer's ends support, discontinues service or goes out of business.

Might be a commercial but interesting just the same.

How are these installed on slab foundation? All my piping is buried.

I got super anxious and OCD from 5:40 to 6:14. That's 34 seconds of wasted water!!!! You don't need an app to tell you that.

Am I the only one that noticed the use of a (not insulated for external use) wire plugged into that device outdoors?

A few good downpours, and your power source will be fried.

I would like something like this for my RV. detect a water leak and immediately shut it off.

Is there a demand for something so expensive like this? This problem has already been addressed and solved. This is a cool gadget but not very practical for the average home owner. You can clearly see the target market for this device is the home they went into to show this..
