Will this device able to detect the water leaking behind the dry wall? And shut off the valve itself automatically? How soon?

These values from my experience are good for about 18 months to about 2 years! I bought one and the flow stopped working. Per the company I took the turbine out of the valve cleaned it reinstated and it still wouldn't work. They sent me a replacement and it has worked for about the same length of time. I repeated the maintenance description above to no avail. So I guess I just have a very expensive electronic shut of valve. However I must say they worked very well up to that point.
