One day, 173 will probably even be able to snap necks with just one arm. It's interesting that 173 could "evolve" to 650. That would make 173 less dangerous... For the ones with a healthy heart at least.

In Containment Breach, if you catch 173 in the machine, it duplicates. This possibility makes size enhancement the preferable option.

I suspect very fine would result in the XK-class end of the world scenario described in one of his documents where 173 was able to duplicate indefinitely even killing 682 in the process

I remember there is a (canon iirc) tale of when some D class lured 173 into 939, and well... someone got trapped and the two melded together into one freakishly abomination.

i think the "larger" part would be inaccurate since he wants to be "sneaky" and "stealthy" so people wouldn't pay attention to him (if that is his goal), so something a tiny size would definitely help the thing a lot but he won't be able to snap necks after that, he needs to be large when he wants to, so imagine a scp-173 that can change its sizes at will, tiny for running, large for killing

If scp-173 was bigger, wouldn't it be easier for people to keep an eye on it? Like it being so big that there's always someone looking at it at any given time.

173 on very fine moves so fast even if you look at it you can’t see it. Thus it never stops moving.
