Dr. Urbanczyck and Matt talk about the sonnets of Shakespeare. They talk about the famous Sonnet #18 being wrote for a man, and if that means he was gay.

Throughout history I think there were gay people who have lived very holy lives.

Shakespeare was living in England in dangerous times for catholics. You had to be careful about how you expressed your faith. There is a school of thought that Shakespeare was speaking of the beauty of the Catholic faith in many of his works.

Who cares if he was!? Let him answer for that and let us remember him as a brilliant writer of plays that had a profound impact on our lives. Why is everyone so obsessed with everyone else’s sexuality? Mind your own dang business. Let these people answer for that on judgement day.

Haven't watchd this yet, but shoutout to Dr. Urbanczyck, who taught my dramatic poetry class. This may be nostalgic.

Shakespeare was gay. Reading Shakespeare is gay. Reading is gay. I’m all man. I don’t even know how to read. Writing as much as I did in this comment is even kind of gay. I’m out.

The leftists just can't get it straight. First, Shakespeare didn't exist, now he's supposedly gay. He did exist, and he wasn't part of the alphabet soup crowd. He was a Catholic, and not one of the cafeteria variety like we have today.

Is it possible he is both the younger and older man? Or that it’s a familial relationship?

Hallelujah!!! I’m blessed and favored with $60, 000 every week! Now I can afford anything and support the work of God and the church. For Your glory, LORD! HALLELUJAH!

This is just what my English teacher said. He wasn't talking about a romantic relationship between the men, but a friendship.

I still never heard what specifically was in his sonnets that led him to think Shakespeare was gay.

Nah nah. It means summer is short--.your youth is fleeting..Fair from fair declines--your looks will go. So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee. You have a second change to live in your children.

Is it possible in the sonnet Shakespeare is just talking to a younger version of himself?

Why should we care? Unless of course people think we should pray for his salvation and/or his works are riddled with homosexual promotion.
