This happened to me with the last guy I was dating. He had told me he hadn't been in a relationship for 7 years, had flings in between, but nothing that meant much to him. I had left my unhappy 15 year relationship to be with him. We got to know each other, things happened quickly. He really put the charm on, told me I was gorgeous every day, cooked and spoiled me right away. Told me he loved me after a month of dating. Me being me, felt the same and put my whole heart in. And I was still in touch with my ex, but for the sake of our cats, he had nothing to worry about, but dumped me anyways. I am the Anxious attachment type, he's the avoidant. We've been split for about 2 months, I'm still in love and he won't talk to me. I also think that he still cares for me but won't admit it.
