I first heard it in late 1960s. I was a small kid fascinated by the brilliant sound of the orchestra and the elaborate art work of the LP record that had to be reproduced on a low-fi system. Now it is available on YouTube. What a world.

I was in the St Francis de Sales boys Choir with Peter LaManna, this was one of 2 albums we recorded. I still have both. We were on television, sang in 5 operas including LaTraviata, Faust, Mephistopheles, Aida, we sang and acted on stage with Renata Tebaldi, sang at Lincoln Center in NY, the Academy of Music, sang at the Worlds Fair in front of the Pieta at the Vatican Pavilion, sang at JFKs grave site and sang high mass every sunday in 5 languages scores from the great religious music composers sometimes in front of Cardinals and Bishops. It was awesome. Peter LaManna was amazing. By the way, what kind of a person downvotes this, wow..

I always remember this vinyl album from childhood and gazing at the album cover while I listened to the music. It always meant Christmas (music) to me. I get so tired of hearing some of these other songs over and over again you hear on the radio or on Sirius XM. I would buy a CD or this it was still in print but I'm grateful that I can listen to it on 0 YouTube. That's at least one advantage of the internet!
