The original idea for this video was just going to be like my "Top 25" MKWii shortcuts but then I got carried away. There are over 100 shortcuts, strats, and glitches in this video and none of them are just basic grass cuts or anything super easy. Even the "Basic" category has great stuff!

The bottom right shows a meter that increases in intensity through each category starting all the way to the left and ending to the right. The mushroom icon at the top indicates how many mushrooms were used in the process of the shortcut. I didn't show it for non-shortcut clips since it's unnecessary.

Classic Controller Pro was used for every single clip except the Mushroom Gorge one in the "Miracle" category. For that one, I used the Wii Wheel since it's oddly easier with that controller. Every clip in this video was performed by me and is non TAS. Some of them took 3+ hours just to make a single time. Long story short, getting footage for this video was absolute torture at times. :P

No one has ever made a video quite like this and I'm sure you guys will enjoy it. It's the most work I've ever put into a video and because of that, I'm hoping it gets lots of recognition. :)

I don't think I'll ever be able to make another shortcut video as good as this one unless "Mario Kart 9" or future Mario Kart's somehow find a way to be as crazy as MKW is.

16:29 Inspiration : As someone who absolutely loves shortcuts & glitches, this is a video I've always wanted to make but never was crazy enough to attempt it... until this year. I estimate this took over 60 hours to get the footage for and another 10+ hours to edit. I started in january and finished it on March 20th. This is my favourite video game I've ever played and I wanted to do it justice by making this video and showing how incredible it truly is.

Oh my gosh. This game was my whole childhood! I remember 2008 waking up early just to play Mario kart with my older sister. Those were good times. We were always on that game. She unlocked everything XD

I wish MK9 could be like MKWii, but we are way too optimistic when looking to the future. Remember when people thought MK7 would overtake the whole MKWii community?

Even though people say MKWii is the Melee of the Mario Kart franchise, I honestly think it's the SMB4 of the series, where it combines competitiveness and casualness together perfectly. With things like karts/bikes, auto/manual, and numerous strategies, I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't yet caught onto the fact that pretending MKWii never existed is going to do nothing more than prevent them from ever making another good MK game, at least not one with the same kind of community.

I remember staying up so late to play worldwides online.Time would just breeze by and suddenly it would just be 3am lol. I remember when you posted your WR of maple tree course with the crazy SC and it was the most surreal thing to see. Watching these videos gives me such a big sense of nostalgia.
