I’ve actually gotten the DKJP cave shortcut without the added air time, and I can do it pretty consistently. The way I do it involves tilting the directional stick in the direction of the upwards facing hill during the drift before cancelling the drift just as the mushroom boost runs out around the end of the cave section.

If you can get the timing down, you should be able to ride the hill on your inside drifting bike’s front wheel and cancel your bike’s vertical momentum into a wheelie before you go in the air for a bit as shown in this video.

I love MK Wii!! I still play it!!! I've been playing it 10 years and I still love it!!! Glitches are very difficult to do... but some glitches are easier to do.
