I wish Harley Well with this bike, I owned a Buell Ulysses and loved it. The price point needs to be right, buyers will not pay more than BMW or KTM for this bike. The bike needs to be priced between the BMW models and the Japanese Models. Harley also needs to fix their maintenance costs. Harley wanted $1100 for my Buell 10K service - note no valve adjustment or coolant to change, where the average 1200 in the Japanese segment is about $400-$500 tops for this service. Yes most of us do our own service, but even tire changes at Harley are double a power sports shop. I want to see this succeed, but it comes down to the almighty dollar, what will the bike cost the consumer, and what will the consumer be willing to pay for maintenance.

If it’s over the cost of an R1250 GS then nope sorry. I’ll just get a GS. truth be told I’d get the GS no matter what.

But I LOVE that HD is getting into the ADV market. Hell yes.

BMW, KTM, Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Husqvarna, Honda, Yamaha, and Kawasaki all make solid adventure bikes. Ones that you could ride comfortably from Alaska to Argentina. Harley-Davidson has gone on the offensive and I’m excited and happy for them. Good luck fellas, your greatest enemy will probably be your dealers and the “biker bros”.

The only adventure HD offers is the run around you get from the service department when trying to get the absolute trash you financed from a failing company repaired due to faulty engineering and horrendous QC. GL HD!

I could list a million reasons why i would never buy this bike, but as a Millennial who does genuinely want to see Harley succeed, i could actually see myself buying this. But i wouldn't dare touch it for more than 14-16k depending on specs and build quality. There are just great options for decent prices in the ADV market

Finally Harley realized they need to change things up! Their old trusted buyers is soon all gone. There is a new crowd they need to please if they want to stay in the game. I like the 2020 models. Can't wait for 2021
