I'm so glad I watched this twice. I missed the context at the very beginning the first time around, and thought he was asking Graham if the person that he's sharing the couch with is a man or a woman. Disrespectful in itself, but then also the fact that he didn't just ask him directly, and then on top of that, the fact that he referred to him as "it".
