Imagine knowing your coughing is preserved forever interrupting the greatest pianist of our and likely any generation.

How can one person possess so much talent?!? And this was spontaneous? Unbelievable.
By the way y’all - sometimes people have to cough. They don’t WANT to, you understand, but it can’t always be helped. They also sneeze & fart & make other noises. In retrospect, cough drops are a great idea for attending something like this, but again, people forget, etc. So let’s collectively chill a bit….

When I think that I've grown tired of listening to Keith Jarrett....I turn off the distractions and listen again....
and once more I am overwhelmed.
Majesty, passion, pain, unbridled joy, splendor and solitude, all in an hour's time.

How have I missed this?  cathartic, nirvana, a resurrection blessing, an invitation to eternal dance, it is like the 23rd psalm of music, , a weeper, an allower of shared ecstasy, need I say total gratitude.

Oh, how I admire this! Oh, how I'd love to have my own recording of it! It's remarkable that this is one that ECM has not released.

The minor key refrain that comes to the surface at the 9-minute mark and transitions out in the 12-14-minute area is amazing; filled with anguish and fraught with emotion, every time I've listened my heart has felt an ache that cannot be described in words, but is here eloquently expressed in music. Needless to say, it is one of many phenomenal moments in this inspired concert.

While listening my baby just went from crying and scratchy to settled to fully asleep... good for both our souls.

A masterpiece!! I can listen to this with all my senses on the big computer's speakers while my mind blows away, or doing something else, like photo editing or whatever, but ...I can make mistakes (a lot) in the meantime :D

Takes me back to my days in the middle 70s when I'd listen to this concert as an LP, a 33 & ⅓ LP record on vinyl 6-sided LP. Would listen at least once/week while studying English literature!! I then moved round the world and couldn't take the LPs with me. Lost track of the recordings. Love it still!!
