Thanks for the informative videos Krish. I really liked the part that you were insisting on model deployment. While interviewing candidates for data science roles, I have observed that this is one area they seem to have very limited exposure.


To the guys here communicating through comments, one message from my side.


Krish always talks about data science pipeline. Please try to understand importance of that. You must prepare yourself to work on all the pipelines like data extraction, cleaning, feature engineering, model training, tuning, optimization, deployment, scaling etc. So it is very much needed to have knowledge on Big data space, Linux environment, azure services, amazon sagemaker etc at least at high level. This is again something which gives you an edge over other candidates when you mention in resume.

By looking at the no of views on the vedio it is clear that the competition in the job market for the position of Data engineer, data analyst, machine learning is very high and jobs are limited . From the views and LinkedIn data I can conclude that for each job there are five people in line, so, competition is 1:5.

My company works on ML and I have been interviewing candidates, biggest problem is these guys don't know in-depth concepts of what they have written in resume, deployment at most of the places is continuous Integration and Deployment, frame work is already there, not many know if the problem is of different kind how to tweak neural net architecture to get optimum results .

Thank you, after getting my first ML job I realized my university failed to teach me about model deployment. Should be a mandatory course, together with data engineering...
