Like solar roadways, this is massively impractical and spreads misinformation.

Concrete was used primarily because it's strong, insulating and CHEAP. Concrete is basically among the cheapest construction methods we have.

These "light" buildings on the other hand are much MORE expensive because there are few materials that are stronger per cost than concrete. Not to mention that watertight panels are going to be absolutely unreasonably expensive especially given how high the pressure at the bottom of the house is going to be.

Insulators allow one side to be cold and the other to be hot because that prevents heat from going into or out of the building. Having the outside of your house be the same temperature as the inside is basically just air conditioning or heating the great outdoors.

It takes much more energy to heat or cool a large volume of water+the air in your house than it does to do just the air. That was just a blatant lie.
