Nice videos! You have been in many retreats, lucky you!! Other option, the one I do, is going to the jungle for Ayahuasca but in the other big shamanic area, Pucallpa and the Uyacali river. The place for the Ayahuasca is the jungle. After the feminine energy, I go to Cuzco for the Wachuma, for the masculine energy and I take it on the mountains, is a lovely experience. Each master plant has their own element and they help you in different ways. Also in Cuzco, in San Pedro market, you can buy Yopo and try other master plant.

Thank you very much for this great comparison video. I am thinking about opening an Ayahuasca retreat and the location is a huge consideration so hearing your thoughts on the two locations was fantastic. The place I'm looking at is actually an Amazon Jungle location a few hours outside of Cusco, so you get the best of both worlds but instead of a sketchy city like Iquitos there are a number of very nice small villages in the area and a nature reserve to explore during your free time. Oh this is very helpful to know the differences - and just for the cold during nights, I would opt for that location, then. Can't handle the heat. I feel comfortable in colder climates, and one can dress well and load animal fats along with all other food intake, so the body is warm, at least for me.
Oh yes, of course, buy a beautiful Poncho like Rachel, the natives know best, what to wear and their material fits the needs best, I assume.
I would probably pack a sleeping bag for cold altitudes

Are the patterns, geometrics & colours found in the Cuzco & jungle clothing reminiscent of the Ayahuasca experience? Just a thought on where the inspiration may have originally come from. Isn’t Banisteriopsis caapi from which Ayahuasca is derived, indigenous to both regions so therefore would be completely authentic just with a different setting?
