I missed Hendrix at Temple university in Philadelphia. I was only 14 or 15 so no go. But I fell in love with him after he tragic death. Always #1 in my eyes 👀.

I was raised in his music, love his tunes to this day. My step Dad woke my brother and I up for school one morning when we were little kids, he set up an old boom box CD player and blasted the star spangled banner! Best wakeup of my life!!!

One of the technical things that made him a genius with songwriting was that every guitar part was written within a range where the entire thing can be played in any register without sacrificing anything. He could lose a couple of strings and still finish the piece out in its entirety if he needed to.
