people often just look at him at his peak and think “Wow he’s so lucky, he’s so good and ill never reach his level” and don’t ever think about how he was human, and how much work he put in to get to that point

Saw Hendrix on June 5th, 1970, in Dallas. 3 1/2 months before he passed. Incredible showmanship. Wish you were still with us. 😢

People who discover their natural talents and can devote themselves to honing them, are the luckiest people in the world. Conversely, it seems that the brightest stars tend to always burn out the quickest, and Jimi was a prime example. 🎸👑

If Jimi still alive he would talk so much about his guitar journey ❤

Not a shredder, a great guitar player with an ear for melody. He wasn’t in a race to see how many notes he could play a minute. Taste!

The reason he did all that woodshedding as they say, was because his childhood sucked. He NEEDED that guitar, because that's ALL he had ! Thank you to his Father (Al) for caring enough. RIP Jimi

Even though the guy is a legend, he was still human. it's good to know that I can still learn new tricks without having to be a kid

Hendrix played backup rhythm for a Doo-Wop band, Buddy, and Stacy, 1965, before going solo.

He did more in a short time than most people do in their whole lives. When he played, you felt like he was bearing his soul to you on stage, he really felt the music and was at one with his guitar.
