Huge fan on urbanears, i love them. I have had mine for about 6 years and i'm sure when they need replacing i will get new urbanears.

This is by far the best Urbanears Plattan 2 unboxing/review on YouTube. I loved the comparison to the old one. I noticed the closed captions were actually hand transcribed. Nice! I wish you went into the sound quality a bit but still, really great break down of the physical bits of the headphone. Thanks!

I have had my plattan 1 for 7 years now. It has only had 2 things go wrong with it. The material on the pad peeled off and I had to cut the end of the cord off and wire a new one in as it stopped working. I still have them but i got a new second pair now.

I've had the plattan 1 for 7 years and the folding part (the one you're comparing at 5:32) just broke this year :S also the material on the ear peeled too (and the cord looks like yours at 1:58 hahaha) but despite that they still sound really good, taking into account that I've been using them almost daily since I got them... I noticed that the new one got improvements in those little details so I really want to get it but I'm not sure if it's available in my country :S

Better replace the ear cushions on your plattan 1 they have a replacement parts on the Urbanears store. Try and check it out. I own the Plattan 2 and the sound quality is a huge improvement for the last 5 years or so... i got it on sale by chance yeaterday and it is really worth the money.
