I just bought my.wife a brand new 24 Sanat Cruz Night.. It's her cruck..car/truck. At first I didn't like it. I wouldn't even go look at one.
Well we finally went and test drove one. I instantly changed my mind! This little cruck is simply all around perfect. Ride quality, handling, mpg and power!! Win! Time will tell how reliable is will be, I did get every warranty you can get just to be safe!

Santa Cruz isn't marketed as a truck, it's a sport adventure vehicle and it's pretty awesome to drive not to mention it's loaded with features and standard options

There is only a tiny difference between the Santa Cruz bed and the Maverick bed. This "con" was overstated.

In Canada, Hyundai only offers the Santa Cruz with the 2.5 Turbo and AWD. Our base model (equivalent to the SEL) comes in at about 50k CAD. the Ridgeline and Maverick with comparable equipment came in at 65k for the honda and 49k for the ford . I've had mine for a year now, only problem with the bed size is actually the standard tonneau cover, the container for the roll top takes up 1.5ft of the 4ft bed... if the container was smaller it would be perfect. the back seat is next to useless, especially with me being 6'6", but it is one of the few vehicles I tried that actually has a comfortable drivers position. I found it more comfortable, quieter, and better on fuel than all the competitors: ridgeline, maverick, and even the tacoma, colorado/canyon, ranger, and frontier. I also needed the 5000lbs towing, and it tows my 19ft camper extremely well. Overall very pleased with it.

I have a 2024 SEL with activity package it's FWD and is averaging almost 30 mpg . This vehicle is great and I really love it. Price was 30, 700.00 after a 2, 500 rebate. Would definitely buy it again.

I really would have preferred to have the non-turbo non-DCT for the Limited as an option - I've had no issues with the 2.5t DCT and had it since Aug of 2021....

I hauled 15 10'' 2x4, 5 10' 1x5, 5 lattice in the bed of this thing, all treated lumber. Yes, it stuck out, but I still got it to the house. As for the "price tag" issue... between this and the maverick, good luck as if you want anything but stock and bare bones, you heading over 40k starting.. I really wanted a Honda Ridgeline. base model, 39k.. put things on it, taxes and tags..

Most of this video is inaccurate. You can haul a full sheet of plywood with the tailgate down. It is exactly the same as the Ford Maverick but it actually drives better than the Ford Maverick. Honda sucks for comfort. The Santa Cruz can tow more then the Ford Maverick.

I came OUT of a "Mid-sized pickup" to get into the Santa Cruz. And dollar for dollar, it's BETTER than the Maverick.

Just open the tailgate to carry lumber. A 4X8 sheet of plywood will fit when the tailgate is lowered in the next position. It's not a construction truck but for DIY'ers.
