Haha, checked your video to confirm if that's non-lethal, but I did it the same way as I remember my dad did way back in the PS2 age. It feels so badass to pull off a trick like that.

I didn't know that trick, and I had to do it the "traditional" way, they were very tense moments of constantly hunting The Fear and preventing him from eating, while he also hunted me.

i was playing in the 3DS edition, and i beat every single boss with the MK22, i'm pretty proud of that

Oh yeah... the fake death strategy, is very fun as you "mutate?" a lethal weapon into a non-lethal one and ends way too fast. XD
