Hi Erika, firstly thank you for this wonderful lecture, it really helped me understand the mistakes I was making in a lot of CR questions.
I have a doubt in the Bonus Question - ' An investigative journalist' at 1:23:02
I understand the logic behind the answer option E, however isn't there an argument flaw which could make the correct answer B?
i.e. the news article was published 'last week'. In the conclusion, they are talking about the sales for 'this week'.

Hi Erika,

Firstly, thanks for taking out time and doing these classes with such detailed explanations.

I had two doubts, One at 1:10:00, The conclusion states that more than half of the students will not be able to perform at a high level in all their courses. So in order to weaken the argument shouldn't we rather say that more than half of the students were able to perform at a high level in all their courses?

Second, at 1:30:00, Even if 70% of the coyote survive to adulthood in the wild, How are we saying it's related to bromide compound at all?

Hmmm i dunno if what i do is critical reasoning or critical thinking if there is a difference or what it is... but i do cause and effects to get to the roots of problems and fix it so there is no flaws its long painstakingly time consuming and tends to result in a potential permanent solution. For instance finding greatest commons amongst a group of problems or all problems. What i do is similar to what elon musk uses for quickly learning called first principles learning i find the root or roots of all problems and then I find out what is the same for all of them. For instance they are all problems problems are all bad. problems being bad are all in need of a solution. Then i think why is said problem bad what makes a problem bad? Someone decides its bad everytime this is true. Therefore if nobody thought of it as bad it wouldnt be a problem. Ok so why do people decide something is bad. Usually cause it is not they're normal way of doing something or they have had a bad experience or been taught its bad from someone who has had a bad experience. Greatest common i can think of is cultural conditioning aka environment shapes the person. Most often a problem occurs out of imbalance aka inequality or restriction of freedom. This can be a simple misunderstanding or miscommunication it could be a manipulation or attempt to control someone which again falls into the restricted freedom. Simple fix would be under any circumstance freedom is a must equality is a must. Simple give freedom by letting anyone do what they want as long as they do not do to another what is against what the other would want done to themselves. In other words respect personal boundaries. If this was a law and it were broken freedom can still be upheld simply by giving the law breaker a choice between 1of3 punishments. Banishment from community, enrollment into etiquette/ societal norms training. That way they know how to fit in whats ok to do whats not ok to do. Or they choose eye for an eye meaning whatever they did gets done to them if they are a recurring offender they get to choose again but not any option thats been chosen before. If they repeat offense and have run out of choices well theyve been given 3 chances lucks run out they get to choose how they want to be sent on with the ferryman to speak to they're divine maker aka death by choice of method. Also they arent aloud to choose death of old age im wise to that one already lol. Nah they could pick any death with a weak but whatever they choose will happen immediately after and if they dont choose the people or chance can choose for them. Being wheel of fortune style randomized or the public chooses...
