Delphi defense points to new cellphone data in murders

The defense team for Delphi murders suspect Richard Allen says new data obtained Friday disproves claims made about the victims' cellphones not working. The claim comes from two court filings made Tuesday. Defense attorneys Andrew Baldwin, Bradley Rozzi, and Jennifer Auger say that prosecutors for the state withheld several pieces of evidence throughout the investigation, including geofencing records for Libby German's cellphone.

I CANNOT believe that the judicial system has a time limit on such serious charges and that the prosecution may take up all that time??? It's absurd that a man's life hangs on a 2 week schedule..so then 1 week for prosecution and 1 week for defense!

People commenting on this on other channels are very ignorant and ill-informed. This is my response to THOSE PEOPLE: In the first place the DEFENSE dragged this out, not the prosecution. RA's lawyers also were responsible for gruesome photos of the crime scene getting out to the public. Any reputable attorneys will tell you that this is a punishable, even 'dis-bar-able' offense. Judge Gull is NOT biased and has done everything possible to make sure that the defendant gets a fair trial and that there is also justice for the young victims. The defense wants to present their stupid, made-up Odinist theory in order to try and 'get their client off', period! It's what defense attorneys do---present some kind of story they feel might 'fly'. That's fine except that in our legal system, if you name other people as being responsible for the murder YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME CONCRETE EVIDENCE THAT THEY KNEW/HAD INTERACTION WITH THE VICTIMS! In other words, you cannot just throw a wild theory out there and name other names of perfectly innocent people who had nothing whatsoever to do with these victims. How would YOU feel if suddenly YOU were named as a person who committed a murder you had no knowledge of by a defense lawyer trying to 'save' his client in a trial???? Your reputation would suffer and you might be under tremendous stress as a result of being innocent and yet named in public as the "real" guilty person!! RA's attorneys have named INNOCENT people who DO NOT know the victims and had NO interaction with them as being the "real' Odinist killers. You cannot do that! Hopefully Judge Gull with not allow any mention of the whole Odinist fantasy, and especially the defenses' attempts to drag innocent people into it. You should also all remember that RICHARD ALLEN CONFESSED TO KILLING THESE GIRLS MORE THAN 15 TIMES, TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. He was not 'made' to confess in any way. He is also not out of his mind. In addition, the prosecution has rock solid evidence to prove RA alone is guilty of these murders. YOU don't know what all of it is because of the gag orders. It's too bad that you all make silly comments without doing proper research or knowing what the heck you are talking about! IF you REALLY want to get some facts, I suggest you go to the Youtube channel Fig.Solves, and watch all of his videos on this case.

When they say the phone was active at 4am it means it naturally just connected to a near by cell tower at 4am - the cell networks manage the local availability of coverage according to useage - if there are a lot of phones in use in that area at a certain time, then you'll be limited as to whether you connect/speeds

But obviously at 4am nobodys awake - hence it connected to a tower, or a tower thats further away than usual.

Unless the defence provides evidence as to specific apps being accessed (doubtfull coz why replace the phone under the body, and for what reason),

Then the defense are just out here with their conspiratorial tabloid drama again 🙄
