I own a 17 mt10, So It could be bias. But personally I prefer the look of the "old" gen. Yamaha I Feel could have done way more, based on some of the concept design's I've seen.

Great video! I have the 2018 Mt-10. I just got back from the Yamaha dealer and took the 2024 out on a test ride. In my opinion there were no disguising characteristics that stood out in terms of how the bike rides. So it boiled down to aesthetics for me. I personally like the 1st gen looks better than the new one.

I would love to have the down on quickshifter and new dash/screen. But I dont like the new look 😞. I love my 2021 Yamaha blue.

Nice comparison, but you forgot the that the quickshifter also works down on the new MT-10. Also the fuel economy is said to be (according to Yamaha website) 0, 37/L instead of 0, 8/L.
Yes I'm european, we use litres and km/h.

The old MT10 is more like a transformers way back in 2012, the New one is a big difference it's looks cool though

New "APSG" ride by wire gives you terrible, artificial feeling throttle. I like the old style on my '18 much better. Same thing on MT09, I had new generation that had that crappy throttle and I had old generation and throttle was much more natural feeling like an old cable. You could pick up first gen MT-10s for cheap! Put less than $1, 000 into them by decat/exhaust and have the ECU properly flashed and you've got one hell of a fun machine!

Je préfère l'ancienne. Elle est bien la nouvelle, car Yamaha fait évoluer et perdurer une sacrée moto, qui techniquement et un peu mieux, mais dans l'absolu, vu le niveau de performances auxquels ont à maintenant, ce n'est pas la technique mécanique qui à mon sens prime, mais le coup de cœur : sonorité du crossplane, originalité esthétique, super package.
