How to use Bluetooth on Sonos

With Sonos Era 300 and Era 100, or a Sonos portable speaker, you can enjoy streaming your favorite music over WiFi or by pairing a Bluetooth device. My Sonos Era 100 is wall mounted. Do I really need to reach that pair button with a ladder, everytime I have a guest who needs to pair with it?

I've held down the bluetooth button for a whole minute multiple times and it never chimes nor starts blinking blue, it just stays white

If I use two Sonos Speakers as Stereo? Do I need to pair only one via Bluetooth or each of them via Bluetooth? To clarify: If the speakers are used in Stereo, do they appear as one in the Bluetooth search?
