DistroKid to Beatport: How To Guide (Super Easy Method)

Using DistroKid to distribute and upload your music to Beatport is very simple (once you know how). Easily to get your music up on Beatport.

DistroKid can distribute music to Beatport as long as you are releasing a genre or sub-genre of electronic music. However, Beatport is not listed as default store and must be enabled for you to upload your music to Beatport using DistroKid.

It’s really crappy that with paying extra for a label plan the label on Beatport is labeled as Distrokid instead of your labels name. They need to fix this. We’ve now had two releases hit the top 10 in their genre and we get no label recognition on Beatport because it’s labeled as Distrokid

Yes they charge now but never informed me of charges. I asked why does it say add Beatport for free? I can go on Beatport and register and pay for my own account. Why should I be paying for Beatport and not reaping the benefits of using Beatport?

You missed the key part, and that is, Beatport has many genres and distrokid from my understanding doesn't allow you to choose any of them other than like 5, so no organic house, no afro house, etc It would be helpful to know if there's a way around this, otherwise this Beatport distribution service is useless

That means I first make an normal account on Beatport with the user name for example "Musician123" and after the registration on Distrokid with the Beatport paket payd I can upload my music on Beatport?
After that I can use the beatport page from your Video and apply for the artist page, right?
My question regarding this topic: Is it necessary that I use the same "normal account name" as the "artist name"?

To keep track on Beatport for one year you have to pay $120 + the annual cost of DistroKid. This means stealing!
