One of the largest hydro thermal explosions ever caught on camera shook the ground in Yellowstone National Park on July 23, 2024 and I was there.

The biscuit basin explosion was one of the most dramatic hydrothermal events to be caught on camera.

What a great post. With none of the overly dramatic reporting some others use when talking about Yellowstone and its dynamic possibilities you have shared some real fact based information. Thank you for this.

A great report. Thank you. I love that park! I have been blessed to visit Yellowstone well over one hundred times since 1973; my first visit, was as a 7 year old in 1962. I have witnessed many changes in the park and have been awestruck by many of them. I can't wait to return once again. See you there!

Thanks for this beautiful video and for capturing the explosive capabilities of this forever changing wonderland. I’ve been there three times and would never tire of seeing it again and again! 😀
Blessings!😊

Just found your channel. My girl friend and I were by Biscuit Basin about 2 hrs after this happened.
Another time my daughter and I left the park thru Gardiner at about 9:30 at night only to find out the next morning that the roads we traveled less than 12 hrs before (we had been over Lamar way last) had washed out. And then on another trip we were in Hayden and watched a bull elk and some females at dusk in a meadow just a 100yds or so from where the bull elk ran into river and got got by the grizzly about 12 hours later. Same elk we watched the night before, maybe. We watched that feeding unfold over several days. Yellowstone is EVER CHANGING if you just watch close enough.

Very interesting and as you and I discussed when we chatted. People just don’t know how fast these things happen and no matter how prepared you think you are you have tremendous amount of room for error. Looking forward to seeing my video with you.

I was driving toward Biscuit Basin, from the north, when this happened... we weren't close enough to hear it, but as we cleared the treeline the Rangers were still rushing in so we must have *just* missed it.

I suppose such events may be likely in Lassen, Crater Lake, Mono Basin, Hood, Baker, Rainier, St. Helens, and Shasta, too.

How am I finding out about this on YouTube and not a news network? That’s insane!!

The deer grazing by campers didn't look too phased by all the sirens. Are they that used to humans etc?

Soooo... you're saying you cause these natural incidents? Just kidding.
