11 Russian Regions to Pay Female Students for Early Motherhood

At least 11 regions in Russia will offer female students 100,000 rubles (under $1,000) as a childbirth incentive starting January 1, 2025. This initiative, aimed at addressing the demographic crisis exacerbated by the Ukraine invasion, includes recently added support from the Tomsk and Altai regions.

Eligibility generally requires mothers to be full-time students aged 18-23 or 18-25 during childbirth.
