Day 4/30 of my Spring Cleaning Spree! Today, we're tackling a kitchen workhorse: the dishwasher. I know it seems counterintuitive, but your dishwasher can actually get pretty dirty over time. And a dirty dishwasher can leave your dishes looking less than sparkling clean. I also jsut put together an Amazon shopping list that I will be updating with each video. A quick tip to add ...when i clean my dishwasher filter i also clean the inside under the door, you will be amazed how much dirt gathers there when putting in dishes stuff drips down and can accumulate under the iside door, i am watching your videos and you sir are fantastic at what you do, bless your enthusiasm and energy 😊

I take the filter out, put it in the rack of the dishwasher then run a cleaner through it on a machine clean cycle with nothing else inside. The filter never has any large chunks of debris in, and the cleaners breakdown all the grease anyway.

Good job 😊 isn’t that Soap Daddy the best?! Even tho I have a DW, I hand wash everything because it’s just me and I don’t eat much. But that Soap Daddy was a game changer!

I found there's more to clean inside than just the filter. Cleaning tabs weren't great but then I apparently have hard water.

What if your dishwasher is old and doesn’t have a cleaning cycle? I’ve tried everything to clean my dishwasher and it just doesn’t cut it

Most cleaning tips recommended running a cup of vinegar on a hot water cycle. I'm curious why you choose the pod. Also my dishwasher has a lip under the door that is full of gunk no matter how much I clean it. I clean it monthly. Any tips?

Word of advice: the cleaning pods suck. Not only are they bad for septic tanks, they also are less effective compared to liquod detergent. Youre supposed to put the detergent in the compartment, close the lid, then fill the lid with more detergent.
