I remember when I was younger and I learned about Depression
and anorexia
and self harm
and anxiety
in health class and I would wonder how people came to that point and I would think that I would never be any of those things,
yet here I am, years later, at 3am, sobbing to myself, debating on whether or not to take my own life. People think depression is sadness. People think depression is crying. People think depression is dressing in black. But people are wrong. Depression is the constant feeling of being numb. Being numb to emotions. Being numb to life. You wake up in the morning just to go back to bed again.

Hey Javi, it's been 16 years since you passed. I still play your favorite song when i think about you. I remember your parents setting your chair next to me whenever we visited you. How you'd reach over and hold my shirt while i play rock band for you. I still remember your laugh whenever i finished the song. How you'd let me sit on you and laugh whenever you poked me. Sometimes i wish you were still here.... But i know you're doing better now. I know you're finally getting to run around and smile down at us....
